Introducing Jake: Your Friendly Neighbourhood Marketing Recruiter

Almost two months ago we introduced Lizzie Bishop as a Marketing Recruiter in our Norfolk and Beyond article. We spoke of growth to i4 Recruitment as a whole and also the introduction of new skills to our repertoire. Just two moons later we welcome Mr Jake Holmes himself as the latest addition to the Digital & Creative Marketing Recruitment Department at our headquarters in Norwich.

Jake boasts over four years of recruitment experience for a single company prior to relocating to Norwich at the end of April 2019. Whilst in Derbyshire, Jake climbed the employment ladder of his chosen organisation from Resourcer to a full 360 Recruitment Consultant. His Marketing desk was built from scratch and over time displayed levels of success across other areas of recruitment including Sales, Office Support and Finance.

Jake, what notable vacancies have you successfully filled?

Adam. I have worked with a number of clients in and around the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire areas. For these I regularly supplied professionals in Marketing at various career stages and titles. Including but not limited to Digital Executive and Marketing Manager levels. I’m also proficient in the art of supplying quality staff for PR, Copywriting, eCommerce and SEO roles for in-house marketing departments.

Tell me about the roles you would like to work at i4…

Anything marketing related from Assistants through to Management level. I enjoy the changes that come into play when working with candidates of various experience levels. Throw in a couple of SEO and eCommerce jobs to the mix and we’re off to a winner.

We have the roles, now tell us the business(es)! Who would you like to work with?

I’m open to working with any company that has opportunities for progression within. Candidate development for me is key and placing great people somewhere with longevity for them is ideal for all parties involved. Size and industry wise I’m open to anything but mid to large Tech & Software companies will always grab my interest. Definitely the game developer in me edging me to work with these businesses.

Passion for what they do must be an integral part of their make up as a marketing specialist. Without an element of enjoyment they’ve already sacrificed part of what it takes to engage themselves in such roles. Tell us about your approach as a seasoned Marketing Recruiter…

A tough one to answer without sounding too cliche to the recruitment industry. I offer a friendly and open approach to both candidates and clients. I focus on building a good rapport with all involved and avoid quick wins as that’s all they are. Long term business relationships in this field is the key to success.
